Physical Description:
The Railroad Avenue Urban Wild includes a thin strip of bank along the City of Boston side of the Neponset River. This wild abuts the West Street Urban Wild to the southwest and runs northeast to end near the Bay State Paper Company campus. The wild supports a riparian woodland of Red and Norway Maple, Sassafras, and Glossy Buckthorn with a shrub layer that includes Northern Arrowwood and Summersweet. Invasive plant species are common.
