Description: The Railroad Avenue Urban Wild includes a thin strip of bank along the City of Boston side of the Neponset River. This wild abuts the West Street Urban Wild to the southwest and runs northeast to end near the Bay State Paper Company campus. The wild supports a riparian woodland of Red and Norway Maple, Sassafras, and Glossy Buckthorn with a shrub layer that includes Northern Arrowwood and Summersweet. Invasive plant species are common.

Current Use: The Railroad Avenue Urban Wild does not appear to be used for recreation. The site provides habitat for mammals, birds, insects, reptiles, fish, and amphibians.
