As a special gift (while supply lasts), you will also receive a packet of Heart-leaved Alexanders (Zizia aptera) seeds. These are native seeds collected from plants growing at City Natives in Mattapan. Heart-leaved alexanders is a clumping perennial similar in form to foam flower and coral bells, bearing a basal mound of heart shaped leaves. Upright, bright yellow, carrot-like blooms rise above the foliage in May. Heart-leaved alexanders perform well as a ground cover planted in groups in a shady garden or as a specimen in a mixed perennial border. We hope you enjoy this addition to your garden.
