The annual summer-long Neponset River Greenway Festival celebrates the River, its multi-use walking and biking trail and many riverfront parks with 25 family oriented events. The Festival events take place along the Neponset River in the Boston neighborhoods of Dorchester, Mattapan and Hyde Park and the town of Milton. The Festival is organized in partnership with the MA DCR, local businesses, non-profit groups, and residents. July 6 & 8 at Sunset: Set in the 50’s, this musical narrates the love story of good girl Sandy and greaser Danny as high school social standards challenge their relationship.
July 13 & 15 at Sunset: Join Dorothy and Toto in the magical Land of Oz as the set out on the yellow brick road to the Emerald City accompanied by a Scarecrow, a Tin Man and a Cowardly Lion.
July 20 & 22 at Sunset: In a time of time-travel, aboard the USS Enterprise James T. Kirk and Spok have the mission to protect the United Federation of Planets from the villain Nero.
July 27 & 29 at Sunset: A boy named Max sails away to an island inhabited by creatures known as the "Wild Things", who declare Max their king.
August 3 & 5 at Sunset: Inventor Flint Lockwood and a brainy weathergirl discover why the rain in their small town has stopped, and food is falling in its place.
August 10 & 12 at Sunset: When Susan Murphy turns into a giant she joins a crew of Monsters that are called into action to combat the Aliens and save the world from imminent destruction!
August 17 & 19 at Sunset: Hiccup, a young and clumsy boy, manages to bring down a Night Fury dragon, dubbed Toothless. So begins a friendship that shows the misjudgments Vikings have about Dragons.
August 24 & 25 at Sunset: A voodoo magician transforms Prince Naveen into a frog, and waitress Tiana, after kissing the royal frog, is also transformed. Now they must race to break the spell and fulfill their dreams.
