Join the Mattapan Food and Fitness Coalition Vigorous Youth for their 2nd Annual Bike-a-thon event to raise awareness for bike-ability in Mattapan. Participate in family-friendly bike safety demonstrations and a bike tour of Mattapan and the Neponset River Greenway. Bikes and helmets will be provided at no cost to those who need them. Seed, Sow and Grow

City Natives, 30 Edgewater Drive, Mattapan

Time to solve the mystery of your compost pile. Learn how to kick-start compost and effectively maintain a pile that your neighbors will appreciate.

All Seed, Sow and Grow programs are free and open to the public. Registration is required for all programs and registering early is recommended. Participants should dress appropriately for weather and program content. Outdoor programs may be cancelled due to rain or severe weather.

3rd Annual Battle of the Arts and Summer Art Fest

Join the DCR Rangers and the Hyde Park Art Association for this free, fun family event. Local artists (age 16 and older) are invited to showcase their artistic talents in action for public viewing and voting! DCR Park Rangers will also offer family arts and crafts activities for all, including chalk art, stamp printing, tattoo you, group mural and bead making.
